Bangalore city Police, doing their best, staying away

In a recent interview after the gruesome and cruelsome rape and murder of a BPO employee in the city, our Bangalore Police Commissioner in an interview seehere, is being quoted as saying that the city police is doing its best to ensure safety and security of all the citizens.
What a joke..... If you are not from bangalore, please come here and you'll see the plight of the citizens, being looted from everywhere in the city. The auto wallahs are the best at asking double the price for where ever you want to go, sometimes in broad day light, and in the night at least any time after 8. People cannot roam after 8 PM, by any chance. They have chances of being looted any time after the night falls. The crime in the city is increasing day by day and police is nowhere to be seen. I've not seen a single newpaper listing any criminal being caught except for the murderers. But whats the deal in catching the murderers, once a person has lost his life.
I thought police was there to save life and not to catch the defaulters.
Roads of bangalore are a cake walk only for those who can fly. I wonder if some one can do that. Not me.
Ask any person in bangalore about the city life and he will think twice before complementing anything about it.

And the police is doing its best. Where is the police when the auto people refuse to take people to their destinations even after booking through pre paid counters?
Where is the police when people get looted in broad day light?
I wonder if the situation is ever gonna improve......

Was the game big enough?

I cant even understand as to why? even for the question hour money is demanded by these petty politicians. Unbelievable stuff. And that too, a game so small with money only in 5 figures, which is of course very low comparative to the standards of the corruption they have set in the past years.
This is the only thing they have in their defence. That the money they demanded is pretty low.
Anyways, when all is said and done, no one has to worry about them. Thats because nothing is gonna happen to them. In fact, the constituency of Hamirpur, where I did my engineering, has a faulty person also, named Mr. Suresh Chandel. He's also trapped in it. Congratulations to him though.
Was caught taking only 10k.
Now, he must have been thinking.

Was the game big enough????

India is in India after all

I dont know how India motivates itself to even negotiate the toughest curves in cricket but in the first innings of the 3rd test, i think they have just done what really seemed impossible. But then that is always happening with indian cricket. Just every now and then, when gates seem to be closing on VVS Laxman, he simply springs up with a VVS (Very Very Special) (as termed by Harsha Bhogle and Co.) Innings which really helps India to get on course with the game and the bowlers are really the ones who promise never to let the captain down.
If it was Kumble in Kotla, so it is Harbhajan in Ahmedabad. Its really good to feel India can recover the shivering of 97 for 5 to very highly respectable 398. Nothing much is left in the test for Sri Lanka, except for saving it by means of a draw, which would also be really difficult if they face problems facing to spinners even after being a subcontinent side.
I remember my own college days (in NIT/REC Hamirpur (HP)), when we used to play on the MAT, and no team of all the four years of engineering had one single spinner in their side. Even if a spinner came after having played National level cricket, he was never given to ball to bowl. That was true for a MAT, where extra bounce and extra speed killed the life out of batsmen and only the fear(of speed) used to take wickets.
But on real time Indian pitches, its the spin and turn thats the king (kumble might find it an exception to his bowling) but then he must also realize that his bowling are not that difficult to combat except for 1 or 2 deliveries that are wicket taking that he's able to bowl every over.
And thats why Kumble is a real rank topper.
After seeing 97/5 in the first innings i really prayed to see a draw, but now, i am really counting an indian victory now.
And that too without Rahul the Wall Dravid.
Plus the disappointing exit of our very own DADA (Prince of Calcutta, Saurav Ganguly)

A lot still depends on how we bat in the second innings, but then
INDIA IS IN INDIA AFTER ALL.
They know how to escape from such situations and they've proved it time and again.
Be it a follow on against Australia in Kolkatta.
Be it a 66 all out in first innings against Newzealand at Mohali.

And for several other innings.

And thats why i say
Indian By Birth. Proud By Choice.......

parliament adjourned "still not to be cowed ministers"

Both Houses of Parliament resumed their sittings at 3 pm today, three hours after they abruptly adjourned following a bomb scare.

At this our great speaker sir (Somnath Chatterjee) had to say this ""nothing can cow us down".

To this, i dont have to many objections but one thing i would really want to ask our great speaker sir is why will you cow down from attending LS and RS meetings and getting subsidised lunch and using all the facilities that government provides to the MPs. The only thing that can cow you (here i refer to probably all the elected elite MPs) down is to go back to your own constituency and find some ways of contributing money to the cause of development. But why will these people contribute money which finds an easy passage to their own development (what is india for them - a true golden egg laying goose). Not for the general public.

Its been heights.....

Now its been heights. I am a staunch supporter of our very own dada (sourav ganguly) and the decision of him being dropped from the third test after performing good at a crucial stage in both the innings of the second test is disheartening.
I hereby solemnly pledge not to vow to the politics of BCCI, powar and more and wont see a single cricket match (although the enticing INDO PAK series is coming up) involving india, till our very own dada makes a grand come back..........

ICC erred.......

while ICC is always warning the players about their code of conduct but their own very own elite panel has always been allowed to mess around with the game to dictate the game in their own manner.
And yes, the very own players in this sense are-:
Steve Bucknor and Darrel Hair who has recently caught up with this act of giving a run out to INZI while not even knowing the rules
